Grandview Height is located approximately 4.0 miles west of downtown Columbus in Franklin County. It is about a 10-minute commute into downtown Columbus and is an excellent area for those who want to live in the suburbs while still being part of an urban environment.

About the Area

Grandview Heights, founded in 1906, offers historic homes on large lots, walkable and bikeable neighborhoods, and trendy, urban housing. It was initially part of Marble Cliff, one of the first suburbs near the city, which was settled in 1890. Grandview Heights became a separate village in 1906 and a city in 1931.

Grandview is known for its highly rated public schools, the Grandview Yard redevelopment, and vibrant mixed-use neighborhoods. It is home to a collection of award-winning craft microbreweries and taprooms, and offers an array of guided food and drink tasting tours, unique regional events, demos, classes, art galleries, consignment shops, a working distillery, and the nation’s oldest operating single-screen theater, the historic Grandview Theater & Drafthouse that was built in 1926. 

The Grandview Yard is minutes from downtown Columbus and includes more than 125 acres and offers a mix of retail shops and luxury housing. When complete, it will include 1.2 million square feet of commercial office, several restaurants, a grocery store, service and amenity retail, hospitality, and more than 1,500 planned residential units.
